Are Australians cosmopolitan?

Nope.

I chuckled when Fozdar quipped this looks like Australians giving the finger to the notion of being cosmopolitan.

But I was surprised that even one in five of us agree they feel more like a citizen of the world than any country. I struggle to think of myself as a ‘citizen of world’ despite being a migrant, thinking the nation-state is both mostly good but sometimes bad and thinking nationalism is generally used for nefarious ends (with the caveat it can be use for good).
